Gather your family & friends and roll up your sleeves for a Volunteer Work Day at Kuffner Nature Preserve!
Join Heritage Trails Park District on Saturday, June 8th at Kuffner Nature Preserve to help us spruce up the park land by picking up litter, removing invasive plants, trimming branches and spreading mulch on the trail surface. All ages are welcome to help!
Please be sure to wear sturdy boots, work gloves, long pants and long sleeves for protection. Bring plenty of water to drink and any of the following tools would also be helpful:
-loppers / trimmers
The Kuffner Preserve workday is great chance to get the family out of doors and get a little exercise while enjoying nature! It could also be a great opportunity for church groups, scouts / troops to complete some volunteer / service time in the community.
If you have any questions, please contact Heritage Trails Park District at 781-816-PARK or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Kuffner Nature Preserve is located just north of St. Marys, at 14910 County Road 66A.
Each year, Heritage Trails Park District teams up with the New Bremen Historical Society to supply 'courtesy golf-cart rides' at the Auglaize County Fairgrounds throughout 'Fair Week'. Area residents will see friendly faces offering a helpful golf-cart ride to those who need assistance getting from place to place within the fairgrounds. Volunteers are needed for this effort! Please message us if you would like to volunteer as a golf-cart driver for a few hours during fair week.
Heritage Trails Park District will also have a display located within the Fruit Hall, the first building to your right as you enter the main fairgrounds gate at Auglaize Street. Please come and check out our booth space!
